Admin Panel - Promotions

Promotions Overview

Venues are able to enter standard promotions or featured promotions.

Standard promotions appear on the venue information pages of the smartphone app on the day they are scheduled. They represent normal promotions that are open to all customers and run on a daily basis, such as happy hours.

Featured promotions are special promotions, scheduled for specific days to draw attention to the venue. These promotions are open to customers that specifically join the venue to receive a voucher and redeem it at the venue on the scheduled day, such as a free bottle of wine for groups of 3 or more.

A venue can have any number of standard promotions but only 1 featured promotion scheduled per day. Veva recommends that venues seek to have a maximum of 6-12 items featured per month to avoid brand dilution.

Adding a Promotion

Promotions are added using a data entry wizard that guides you through the required steps. The steps vary, based on the type of promotion; standard or featured.

Standard Promotions

Standard promotions are entered using a data entry wizard:

Step 1
Capture the fundamentals to promote: name and description.
The name and description of the featured promotion appear on the venue information page of the smartphone app.

Step 2
Indicate whether you want the promotion to be featured.
The same data entry wizard is used for standard and featured promotions, with a few extra steps required for featured items.

Step 3
Define the minimum group size, expiry date, scheduled date and time.
The promotion scheduling controls the days the featured promotion appears on the smartphone app. There are no restrictions on how many standard promotions can be entered. The minimum group size defines how many customers you require to take advantage of the promotion. The information entered on this step is displayed on the venue information page of the smartphone app.

Standard promotions can be viewed under the "Standard Promotions" tab.

Featured promotions are entered using a data entry wizard:

Step 1
Capture the fundamentals to promote: name and description.
The name and description of the featured promotion appear on the venue information page of the smartphone app. When no customers have joined your venue the featured description will appear to prompt them to join.

Step 2
Indicate whether you want the promotion to be featured.
The same data entry wizard is used for standard and featured promotions, with a few extra steps required for featured items.

Step 3
Define the minimum group size, expiry date, scheduled date and time
The promotion scheduling controls the days the featured promotion appears on the smartphone app. Only 1 featured promotion is allowed on any one day. The minimum group size defines how many customers you require to take advantage of the promotion. The information entered on this step is displayed on the venue information page of the smartphone app.

Step 4
Upload an image for a featured promotion.
If no image is uploaded, the standard venue image is displayed by default. Where an image is used, this image replaces the standard venue image on the day the featured promotion is active.

Step 5
Specify a daily limit to control usage or to get the 1st customer in during low periods.
Daily limits control the number of customers that are able to take advantage of the featured promotion. Some featured promotions may be expensive and once they achieve the set purpose they can be de-activated e.g. attract 25 new customers. The daily limit is based on the number of customers who download the featured promotion as when they join the venue.

Featured promotions can be viewed under the "Featured Promotions" tab

Editing a Promotion

An existing promotion can be edited by selecting the "Edit" icon. This will prompt the data entry wizard to re-open for the selected promotion and allow information to be edited. Edited promotions take 24 hours to display on the smartphone app.

Duplicating a Promotion

An existing promotion can be duplicated by clicking the "Duplicate" icon to add a similar promotion. This prompts the data entry wizard to open a copy of the selected promotion and allow it to be edited for the new promotion. New promotions entered by using the duplicate approach take 24 hours to display on the smartphone app.

Admin Panel - Rewards

Rewards Overview

Venues are able to set up targeted rewards to boost sales and reward loyal customers. Rewards can be setup in 60 seconds, targeted by customer type, preference and geo location. Venues should note:

  • An reward is sent on the day and time it was entered.
  • Once an reward is sent out it cannot be revoked.
  • Rewards may be re-sent by duplicating the reward.
  • Customers who are already at the venue will not receive a reward.
  • Customers must join a venue to take advantage of the reward and receive a mobile voucher.
  • Mobile vouchers are presented by the customer to the venue to be redeemed.
  • It is the venue's responsibility to ensure the voucher is "redeemed" digitally by clicking the "Redeem" button on the customer's mobile.
  • Once the user has redeemed the voucher it is deleted so they can't use it again.

Rewards Map

The real-time distribution of smartphone app users is shown on an interactive map, based on your 10 nearest tube stations and your 5-minute competitive area (waking radius around the venue).

  • Pointers on the map can be selected to view how many people are at the location
  • Once a pointer is selected it will be highlighted and the drink preferences chart updated

Drink Preferences Chart

The drink preferences charat shows the number of smartphone app users who out for a drink today based on their drinking preferences and target an offer accordingly

Adding Rewards

Promotions are added using a data entry wizard that guides you through the steps to setup.

Step 1
Capture the offer fundamentals - name and description
The name and description of the offer appear on the offer notification and the venue information page of the smartphone app.

Step 2
Specify the offer target group
The target customer group can be specified to send Rewards based on when the customer last visited the venue, for example venues can target customers who visited 1 week ago to build brand loyalty and thank their loyal customer base with a special offer. Alternatively venues can target all customers should they want to reach a broader audience and attract new customers to the venue.

Step 3
Specify the target area of the offer
The target area must be specified to ensure Rewards reach the relevant audience, for example send Rewards to all customers in the venue's competitive circle (5-minute walking radius around venue) to attract new customers or send Rewards to all customers at 3 select tube stations where the venue wants to attract new customers and sees a greater demand a drink today. Once the venue sends the offer, it is automatically broadcast to the target group and area as a notification.

Today's Rewards

Rewards sent on the day can be viewed under the "Active Today" tab. Venues can also see how their offer is performing by the:

  • Received: How many smartphone users received the offer
  • Redeemed: How many smartphone users joined the venue to download a voucher and manually redeem the offer
  • Sent: How many push notifications were sent to smartphone users
  • Sales conversion rate: How many Rewards were redeemed over those received

Re-activate Rewards

An offer can be re-activated by selecting the "Re-activate" icon. This will prompt the data entry wizard to re-open for the selected offer and allow information to be edited. Re-activated Rewards are sent real-time to the smartphone app.

Expired Rewards

Expired Rewards can be viewed under the "Expired Rewards" tab. Venues are able to see how past Rewards converted to sales and decide if they want to re-use the same offer.

Duplicating

An expired offer can be duplicated to allow a similar offer to be added quickly, by selecting the "Duplicate" icon. This will prompt the data entry wizard to re-open for the selected offer and allow information to be edited for the new offer. New Rewards entered by using the duplicate approach are sent real-time to display on the smartphone app.
